SINOART At The 138th Canton Fair: Compostable Paper Palette Launch

Nov 06, 2025

At the recently concluded 138th Canton Fair, Phase III (Hall 10.3, Booth J43-44), we held productive discussions with numerous new and existing clients, consolidating existing partnerships and establishing new business connections. Thank you for visiting us.

The show highlight was our self-developed paper palette—an excellent alternative to traditional plastic palettes. In the past, our mini plastic palettes supported teaching and plein-air work, but many were discarded after brief use. Buyers watched costs closely, we struggled to balance quality and price, and the throwaway nature clashed with rising global environmental expectations.

The turnaround started in 2023 during a materials study. Inspired by sustainable packaging, our CEO Alan Chen asked: why not bring these green materials into art supplies? After focused R&D, we launched the paper palette in early 2024.

The product excels in sustainability, performance, and cost. It uses 100% compostable material that fully degrades. Its sturdy build supports oil, acrylic, and watercolor, and it passed a 24-hour penetration test—challenging the old view that paper products lack durability. Just as important, the cost is only 25%–30% of a plastic palette, giving customers a clear competitive edge.

The market responded quickly. Since its 2024 launch, the product has won orders and attracted imitators. In 2025, we funded 4 new shapes and upgraded packaging and logistics to serve artists worldwide better.

We believe art should not come at the planet’s expense. Every mixing session should add color to the world—not burden it.
